Can you believe it’s already April? Spring is in full swing, so much is blooming around the city and it's definitely getting warmer. This month is packed with things to see and do around LA.

Theodore Payne Native Plant Garden Tour
Saturday & Sunday, April 5-6th
Taking place April 5th and 6th, 2025, the Native Plant Garden Tour is a two-day, self-guided tour across Greater Los Angeles. Since 2003, more than 700 public and private landscapes have participated in the Native Plant Garden Tour. Ranging from coastal container gardens to experimental urban homesteads, each unique design offers beauty and critical habitat for wildlife. The gardens on this tour contain at least 50 percent native plants.

Screen Printing Workshop at the Huntington
Saturday, April 5th from 10am-12pm or 1-3pm
The workshop will start with a brief walking tour, highlighting some of The Huntington’s collection and discussing the history and significance of select artworks and plants. After a demonstration of the screen-printing process, participants will customize a tote bag with their own printed design, using the featured pieces.

Los Angeles Beer Festival
Saturday, April 5th from noon-3pm or 5-8pm
The LA Beer Fest returns April 5th to LA Center Studios, featuring over 80 breweries, 200 beers, food trucks, live music, Power 106 DJ Truck, and a few surprises. Admission includes unlimited samplings with food sold separately.

CicLAvia - Koreatown meets Hollywood
Sunday, April 6th from 9am-4pm
CicLAvia is a non-profit organization that has been opening streets throughout LA County since 2010. Come experience car-free open streets at our 59th event, CicLAvia—Koreatown meets Hollywood.
Enjoy the pop-up park for the day in your favorite people-powered way, whether that's walking, jogging, biking, roller skating, skating, or simply spectating! All ages and abilities are welcome. Use the CicLAvia digital map to plan which businesses, local gems, activities along the route, and Hubs to check out during the event on April 6!

Wiggle Waggle Walk & Run
Sunday, April 6th from 8-11am
The Wiggle Waggle Walk & Run is one of Pasadena Humane's biggest fundraisers each year, with proceeds helping to save the lives of thousands of animals in our community with programs such as foster care, kitten nursery, animal ICU, wildlife and more.

Landscaping for Wildfire Resilience with Erik Blank
Thursday, April 10th, 6 PM-8 PM
Wildfire is an inherent part of life in Southern California. Learn how garden design and maintenance can help protect homes in high-risk fire areas. This program will introduce you to the basics of wildfire in Southern California through the lens of California native plants and offer easy actions you can take at home to create and maintain a beautiful landscape that is both wildfire resilient and habitat rich.
This is a FREE introductory level program for audiences living in the wildland-urban interface in Southern California that will address the region’s native habitats and fire history.

Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival
Saturday & Sunday April 12-13th
The highly anticipated 29th Annual Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival returns to William S. Hart Park (24151 Newhall Avenue) on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13, bringing a weekend packed with Western heritage, live music and exciting activities. Admission to the Cowboy Festival is free, giving attendees access to live performances across three stages, a variety of cowboy-themed vendors and interactive activities such as archery, hatchet throwing and mechanical bull riding.

Bob Baker Day 2025
April 13 from 10am-5pm
Bob Baker Marionette Theater's FREE annual festival returns for its eleventh year! Bob Baker Day 2025 is focused on RECOVERY THROUGH THE ARTS. As we rebuild our in the wake of the LA wildfires, they look forward to welcoming everyone to participate in the healing and uplifting of our communities through art, imagination, and joy. They will host a coalition of partners to offer free art activities, youth mental health services, and community-building programs.

Festival of Books 2025
Saturday & Sunday April 26-27
The nation’s largest literary event will be back for their 30th anniversary, April 26-27, on the lovely campus of the University of Southern California. Join them for one-on-one conversations, exciting panels, readings by your favorite authors, musical performances, TV and movie screenings and so much more!
